Lifelong Floridian. Proud daughter of Bob Graham. David Jolly's governing partner. I said yes to this ticket with a heart very full, and I would love for you to come along.

What I believe

If the people of Florida give you the honor of serving them, you serve everyone.

Everyone. Including the people who did not vote for you. That is how I was raised, it is how I served in Congress, and it is how David and I will lead.

This is not about what political party is on your voter registration card. It is about how we help you have a better life.

Why I said yes

I have had a front row seat to the very best of Florida.

I was born in Miami and moved to North Florida at fifteen, when my dad was elected governor. I have lived my whole life watching what good, decent leadership can do for the people of this state, and I have watched, with a broken heart, what we have lost.

When David asked me to be his governing partner, I did a lot of soul searching. Then I jumped in with a heart very full. People are ready for a different kind of governing in Tallahassee, and David and I are the team to deliver it.

Two things matter most in a leader: competency and character. My dad had both. David has both. And if I may be so bold, I believe I do, too.

Public education is where I will start.

Florida pays its teachers the least in the country. That breaks my heart. And it's the wrong direction for Florida's future. These are people who have given their lives to the young people of Florida, and we have to find the resources to pay them what they deserve.
